I’m asking that community to start the chatter engine as I’d like to get a good idea on how many are actually interested in attending a half or full-day learning and collaboration extravaganza in LATE JANUARY 2011.  Below is a quick and simple form – please fill that out if you’re a Realtor or in that industry and are interested in attending sessions regarding how to better utilize WordPress in your business.

The event won’t be free but will be about $25-$35 greenbacks so keep that in mind.  This is NOT a registration but only an interest form so I can get a better idea on how many to prepare for so I can finalize venue information.  I’ll only use this list to email you when we have more information regarding the event and registration – never sold or traded or any of that crap – so no spam.

EDIT: We’ve had our first official planning meeting with the new team members and are currently starting on the logo and rebranding internal to our team. From that we’re redesigning the site to better work with more content and a larger event and from that we’ll relaunch the site and get you more information on the date and venue.

We’ve had great interest from sponsors already, and have had great interest from people in becoming part of our organizing committee. We are however, still looking for people with special skills to fill in one area:

• a/v – handling all video, sound issues, running A/V volunteers & ensuring speakers can hook into projectors.

• 1350 unique visitors to the live stream during Phoenix WordCamp
• 480 attendees + speakers and volunteers filled the tent (480 tickets sold – 15 at the door)
• 11 speakers – 1 track

I owe all of you some explanation about this. I was telling everybody we’d have an HD stream and HD video and that they’d be posted on WordCamp.tv within a couple of weeks. I was simply relaying what I was told. That obviously has not happened. Currently there are videos from the afternoon panel and on, (morning talks and start of panel cut because of some “recording malfunction”). Videos are here: http://godaddy.com/wordcamp/. The latest on that is GoDaddy tells me the HD videos will be on WordCamp.tv “the first week of January”. Hopefully they’ll be higher quality and you can drag the timeline indicator in these versions.

Weather is looking like it’s going to be Sunny and about 75 degrees so should be absolutely beautiful in Arizona for everybody and much better than the cold and snow for some people coming into town from around the country.

I’ve gotten quite a few questions about the LIVE Streaming of the event – I’m still working those details out w/ the GoDaddy production team but I’m putting the final page to http://PhxWordCamp.com/LIVE/ and will make sure that page stays updated with the live stream information.  So that page will have the stream either embedded or linked – either way that’s your target.
